Retreat Terms & Conditions

AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU AND Adventure Alchemists, LLC
In the text that follows, the terms “Adventure Alchemists, LLC”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refer to Adventure Alchemists, LLC a Pennsylvania limited liability company. The term “you” refers to any person registering to attend a Stitch & Sand Retreat.
By registering for the Stitch & Sand retreat you confirm you have read, understand and accept the following Terms and Conditions:
- This retreat is organized and hosted by Adventure Alchemists, LLC (the Organizer) with assistance from Alissa Haight.
- Attendance at this retreat and involvement in any and all retreat activities are at your own risk. It is your responsibility to arrange travel insurance which is highly recommended.
- No pets are allowed on site.
- Non-participating guests are not permitted to attend retreat-specific activities (workshops, swaps, etc.) unless we approve otherwise.
- Any valuables brought onto the site are your responsibility.
- No alcohol may be brought onto the site.
- You must book a room through Adventure Alchemists, LLC at the retreat venue (unless we approve otherwise in writing) and you must agree to adhere to the resort Terms & Conditions.
Cancellation / Transfer Policy
- The retreat registration fee is non-refundable immediately upon registration. Your room deposit is non-refundable immediately upon payment, except where required by local laws. All payments made towards the room cost become non-refundable on the final payment date.
- We will not be held liable for situations beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of war, acts of God, threats or acts of terrorism, epidemics, civil unrest or unforeseen personal circumstances. In the case of cancellation by the organizers under such circumstances, no refunds will be payable and no compensation is payable for any individual travel arrangements you have made. No refunds will be given in case of you testing positive for COVID, or any other COVID-related circumstances preventing you from traveling to and attending the retreat. It is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate insurance to cover this possibility.
- You may transfer your registration and room to another attendee until 7 days before the event for a $100 transfer fee. You may change the names of non-attendee guests on your room reservation until 96 hours before the check-in time of your room reservation for no fee.
- Retreat Credit Policy: We reserve the right to cancel the Retreat due to low enrollment, unforeseen teacher conflicts, or other circumstances beyond our control. In the event that the Retreat is cancelled under these circumstances, we will not issue refunds; however, a credit will be provided that can be applied to a future retreat. If no future retreats are planned, then we will issue a refund less any costs we have incurred that cannot be recovered such as transaction fees. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility.
- In the event that the Retreat is cancelled, the room reservation at the Resort is subject to the Resort’s cancellation policy. We will not issue any refunds beyond what is provided by the Resort. All attendees and guests are encouraged to purchase travel insurance with “cancel for any reason” protection if they do not plan to use the resort reservation in the event of a Retreat cancellation.
The Organizers reserve the right to change the Retreat schedule, the workshop content and instructors, and the method of instruction without notice at any time.
You acknowledge that participation in the retreat carries with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries or property loss. You agree to waive, release, and discharge the Organizer, Alissa Haight, the instructors, Sandals / Beaches, and any other representative of the Organizer from any and all liability for death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft or actions of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to treat all attendees, instructors, us, Alissa Haight, and all staff at the resort with kindness and respect. Harassment, offensive verbal comments, physical attacks, and other unacceptable behavior may result in expulsion from the Retreat and/or resort without refund.
Any disputes will be settled under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
